Hey, there! My name is Wendy Woods and I am the Soapmaker for The New Angle Soap Company. I'd like to humbly thank you for choosing my soap! There are over 300,000 Soapmakers in North America alone, and you have chosen mine, for which I am grateful.

Your first question after checking out my site might be, "Why should I use handmade soap?" Simply put, handmade soap contains glycerin that most store-bought beauty bars leave out. Moisturizing glycerin is a natural by-product of the soap-making process that most soap manufacturers remove during the process, and sell or repurpose for other products, leaving little of it behind in the bars they sell to you as "bar soap". Handmade soapmakers can return that skin-loving humectant back to the bars they make, as they can also improve the quality of the bar by using the best (and sometimes, the fewest) ingredients they can get.

Your second question might be, "Why do you cut your soaps into such an odd shape?" The reason I form and cut the soap in the way that I do has to do with what I promised myself after I made my first soap in 2022. I resolved to not turn my soaping obsession into a business unless I could make my soap stand out in some way, and to make it distinctly my own. Thus, after much trial and error, I came upon a way to form and cut my soaps at an unexpected angle, rather than the traditional 90 degrees that one is accustomed to seeing in other soaps. I've become quite fond of this shape. It makes me stand out from the rest and I even went so far as to embed this shape in my logo. I will continue to keep my soaps in this shape as long as circumstances and the odd soap-pouring pattern will allow.

So, thank you again for visiting my website, and be sure to let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
